![]() ![]() I get that there's a lot to be said for a curated "default experience", but you can focus on "Normal" then incorporate some sliders so that if a player wants to compromise it reducing enemy numbers, that can be their call. The demo suggests to me you have an engaging gameplay loop with gorgeous graphics and solid sound design that I wouldn't mind experiencing, but if it only gets HARDER from the "too hard for me" that it's at, and you aren't actually considering sliders or settings (I mean if you've already confident you aren't incorporating, I'm unclear on what "considering ideas" looks like), it simply wouldn't make sense for me to buy this over a game willing to consider these practical concerns. Hell, "difficulty" is really just equated with "time commitment to master", so practically speaking "being too busy" can be a real thing. Motor Dysfunction, poor eyesight, crippled or missing digits. ![]() So as a third perspective, I and a real proportion of others definitely do not "appreciate a more polished curve more than difficulty modes", practically speaking I simply can't buy games that refuse to incorporate difficulty settings despite a clear call for them.ĭifficulty settings aren't just a matter of taste, they are an accessibility issue. ![]()
